Our cPanel and WordPress hosting plans include a tool to install, manage, and maintain WordPress which is called WordPress Toolkit. This article describes how to install WordPress using this tool.
Once you're logged in, search for WordPress Toolkit by typing in the Search field at the top-right.
Click the only result that comes up, and you'll be inside the WordPress toolkit application for working with WordPress.
This is what it should look like. If you're using WordPress hosting, the main WordPress instance would've already been installed. Otherwise, there will be no websites showing here.
To start the installation process of your WordPress website, click on Install at the top-right. You'll be brought to the configuration screen as shown below.
Fill in the fields and choose the options you want for your WordPress website. We offer a few pre-built Plugin and Theme sets which can help you get started quicker.
For better security, we recommend expanding the Automatic Update Settings and choosing to automatically update all Themes and Plugins as keeping these up to date is critical for security.
Then click Install.
Once WordPress is installed, you'll see the option to log in to your website without having to enter your password, among other options. Click Log in, and you'll be brought within the admin dashboard of your WordPress website.
Keep in mind though that in order to be able to log in to your website, your domain needs to be propagated. If it's not, please wait some time and try again.
WordPress Toolkit is a great way to start off your new website as it provides full autonomy when it comes to maintaining your website, it also applies many security improvements which you would likely miss if you're manually installing WordPress.
